Whitechapel Church of England Primary

Religious Education forms an important part of the ethos of this Church of England school, which maintains close links with the churches of Whitechapel and St Luke’s and the Diocese of Leeds. 

Religious Education is a core subject at our school. Our Yearly overview for RE incorporates the Understanding Christianity units alongside the Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education in Calderdale, Kirklees and Leeds which includes the other world religions.

Where possible, we want our children to have opportunities to encounter local faith communities through visits to local places of worship or visits from members of local faith communities.
